CLEANER AIR WELCOME WALK: how to take part

Welcome Walk for Newcastle’s new Clean Air Zone

+ Ride For Their Lives bike ride


Meet from 9.30 for 10am start Sign-up sheet below!

  • Feel free to drop out whenever you like - cafes, parks and sights listed below, with links

  • You are welcome to join us part-way around the route

  • Family route stroll - approx 1 hour 45 mins

  • Route maps: use free Komoot app for map on mobile - here - or print an outline.

  • Weather watch! Forecast here - update will be posted 48 hours before event.

Meeting Point for start:

Northumbria University Business & Law Faculty (entrance by nursery and car park).

Meet by 3 statues (pic left)


Travel options to get to start Refreshments close to start

Bus routes - New Bridge St/Falconar St/Argyle St The Garage cafe

Car park - City Campus East Little Ernie kiosk

Route maps covering whole walk – to plan café breaks etc! Two options: Family Walk (just under 2 hours) and Full Boundary Walk (3 hours).
